You need a Java enabled browser!

Carbon Fiber Technology. Look for future updates on how to utilize carbon fiber to cut weight and increase strength on R/C planes.

You have arrived at a web featuring Central Indiana Radio Control modeling along with building  tips and techniques of R/C Aircraft. Click on the Carbon Technology graphic above for information on composites and how they can best be applied to modeling.

Plainfield Indiana is home to the Screaming Eagles Radio Control Club located in central Indiana.  Between the Screaming Eagles field and the Academy Of Model Aeronautics National Flying Site there should be ample opportunity for great web page material.

To view my pages containing Control Line Aerobatic Airplanes click here.  These pages contain many articles and parts constructed with carbon fiber and epoxy.  Please visit the C/L pages since there are many building techniques that apply to R/C modeling. You will have to use your back button since the control line web is a stand alone site.

I hope you find these pages informative. Please feel free to Email me with any comments or suggestions.

Joe Hartley's Balsa USA EAA Bipe.

Although not visible in this photo Joe utilized rib stitching and pink tape along with cockpit detail to give this airplane a very scale like appearance. Covering is Sig Koverall and Sig Dope which is hand sanded and buffed to give it the rich painted shinny luster. Maybe Joe will forward an article/review on the process  of rib stitching and covering his EAA Bipe.
